I wanted to get to know everyone a little better and get a conversation going.
I’d also love to hear some ideas about which things relating to mental health you’d like included in the newsletter. It can be anything; struggles, victories, tips and tricks or anything else you think is relevant.
Finally, if you’d like to share your story, drop me a message!
Hi, I'm Jack Thro, originally from Missouri, USA. My Japanese wife and I live together in Saitama, just north of Tokyo. I'm still an American citizen, but I have lived about 35 years in Japan, starting in 1966. My wife and I will celebrate our 47th wedding anniversary this coming Dec. 8. We have been blessed with 3 children and 5 grandchildren. My hobbies include play9ng the piano, soaking in hot springs, and reading Shakespeare together in a group. As far as mental health is concerned, I'm in favor of it, and have been trying to improve my own mental health since I was very young. Another 50 years or probably sooner than that, I can stop trying to improve. I'm interested in hearing about the struggles and victories of others and about any tips or tricks that others might have.
